This course is designed to equip students with the skills to take the Core Academic Praxis Skills for Educator's test, which is required by the Alabama State Department of Education for eligibility into any initial Teacher Education Program. These tests measure academic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics and provide comprehensive assessments that measure the skills and content knowledge of candidates entering teacher education programs. The course will provide specific information on the nature of the Praxis Core test, practice questions and explanations of correct answers, test taking strategies, study and preparation options, content review, and methods to reduce test anxiety. Grades: Pass/No credit.
