The course is designed to equip students with the skills to take the Praxis II Content Test, which is required by the Alabama State Department of Education for initial certification in any Teacher Education program. This test measures content knowledge in the specific subject domain (i.e. mathematics, special education, etc.) and provides a comprehensive assessment of students' content knowledge. The course will provide specific information on the nature of the Praxis II test, practice questions and explanations of correct answers, test taking strategies, study and preparation options, content review, and methods to reduce test anxiety. Grades: Pass/No credit.
